Welcome to our new site!
We are excited to be launching a new website devoted strictly to hobby and small commercial roasters. We operate our full roasted coffee websites at www.vietnamesecoffee.com and www.heirloom-coffee.com and you will see some green beans listed there, but this is where you will find it all.
Our coffees are 100% Direct Trade, which is the best way for us, and you, to support producers who bring us the finest coffees in the world, and struggle to obtain a fair price. Direct Trade is sometimes 10x as effective as Fair Trade in creating profit for the farmers... profits that they use for their health and welfare, and to keep their farms growing and prospering.
We are not focused on machinery, we are focused on the beans. Our goal is to offer you the best coffee from the best farm in the best regions of each country we import from. It's simply the Best of the Best of the Best. In addition, all our beans are picked ripe only on the farm, then triple sorted - twice by the farmer and once by us - to insure as close as possible 100% ripe, sound beans that are clean and delicious.
Each coffee we offer is here because it knocked our socks off. That's right, there are no coffees here because we toured the farm, received a lot of hospitality, and felt obliged to buy the coffee even if it wasn't the best of the best. We do not tour farms constantly, although we do visit our best producers to see their methods and standards and press the flesh, so to speak.
Many of our coffees have been offered to us by unique suppliers, like our Papua New Guinea coffee flown from the farms in Cessna planes to avoid the treacherous roads and bandits, because they are on a mission of humanitarian support and they thought we were the type of buyer that would treat the coffee right and be fair to them.
We are honored to present all of these coffees for your enjoyment and we promise you that you can feel great about every sip you take, because when you buy Grade A (and Grade AA) coffee from us you are passing the goodness down to the farmers who made it, through the Best Practice of Direct Trade. Enjoy!
