Product Description

About our "Veneza" blend:

An awesome find! Believe it or not, this is Volcano Coffee Company's "value" coffee. It's plentiful and grows readily, making it less expensive to produce. But the quality of production and processing is as good as all their coffees, and this year the weather was absolutely perfect for these beans. As a result, Veneza is a truly delicious coffee that you can afford to fall in love with!

Veneza has a strong, clear "classic coffee" aroma, plus bright citrus notes. Its taste is well-rounded and without flaw. A good choice for a house blend, as it can please a wide variety of palates.

If you're a fan of iced coffee, you should also know that this makes one of the most drinkable iced coffees we've had in a while.

About our Brazilian coffees in general:

Our "Veneza" coffee is a mix of Mundo Novo, Catuaí and Acaiá varieties of Arabica. The Volcanic Origin Coffee company sources this coffee from several small estates in the Pocos de Caldas volcanic caldera in Brazil. The estates grow a variety of unusual Arabica sub-types, including golden-fruited Catuai. The coffee is sustainably grown and direct-trade.

There is no other terroir in the world similar to this unique microclimate, which is angled perfectly toward the sun. Pocos de Caldas receives sharply divided day and night periods that begin with early morning sun full-on until 4 pm, when the sun suddenly is cut off by passing across the rim of the crate at the top of the mountain, triggering a burst of energy (sugar) conversion into flavor in the beans. The soil is an enriched combination of volcanic minerals and rainforest soil, giving the coffee an abundace of nutrition and minerals.
