Out of Africa, Blended Arabicas - Farewell Tour Sale

Out of Africa is one of Len's favorite blends to work with. As we adopt new crops from Africa to fit or enhance this taste profile, we feel it just keeps getting better. Unfortunately, at the moment we are not liking any of the new crops that we might bring in to use for this blend and we are almost totally out of the wonderful beans we have been using. When more crops become available in late Spring we hope to bring this puppy back... because we just love it.

So this is the Out Of Africa Farewell Tour. Buy it while you can :-)

Uganda Bugisu Arabica crop anchors this popular blend. Out of Africa is a perfect synergy of high-altitude Arabicas from the birthplace of coffee. This is a Master Roast of 3 temperatures, anchored by a dark roast of Uganda Bugisu and balanced with Ethiopia Guji and Tanzania Peaberry coffees. It is really exceptional - bright, sharp, fragrant, and persistent on the palate.

All 3 of these origins come from regions where new co-ops are helping people lead better lives, with the help of outside agencies who have donated processing equipment, provided technical assistance and education, and paid fair prices for the crop over long-term contracts so farmers and their families are guaranteed living wages all year long. Two of these farms are woman-owned, and have distinguished themselves with local awards and accolades. This is the future of coffee sourcing! This is how coffee can change the world for millions of people.

8 oz bags, please choose drip or whole bean. Medium caffeine. Multi-temperature (Harlequin) Roast.

The Araku Valley of India

India's coffee tradition goes back 400 years or more, when a variety called Kent was first established in the Southern Hills. Arabicas predominated until the blight of 1870, when growers needed to hybridize to resistant varieties. The resultant strains had genes from Liberica and other unique, resistant species.
