Bududa District of Mt. Elgon is in the Eastern highlands of Uganda. This UTZ certified Safe & Sustainable coffee is primarily SL-28, which is considered a gem of indigenous African varieties. It is hand-picked and processed on the day of harvest. After pulping with a hand-pulper, the coffee is fermented overnight in small basins. The next morning the coffee is washed and put on raised drying trays for drip drying for 2-3 days and then sun-dried on tarpaulins. It has a wonderful complex profile with notes of dark chocolate, black currant, brown spice and more. Exceptionally aromatic.
8 ounces, please choose whole bean or drip grind. Medium roast.
