Dark & Stormy is our mainstay and has been super-popular since we opened, but we have not really had just a straight one-temperature dark roast since Brazil Adrano. As it happens, recently Len designed a new dark roast for a commemorative event and it got rave reviews. So he started with that formula and tweaked it until all our tasters said Yes, this is a Really Special Thing :-)

We call this Deep Forest Blend because our favorite dark roast level is one step under a French Roast. At 466° it is well under the roast levels of traditional dark West Coast coffees, which we feel are burnt... but darker than the "nouveau dark" levels in which they call a roast that is barely over medium a dark roast. It is what we here at Len's have been calling a Deep Forest Roast for around 15 years. This blend is an Arabica base of Bourbon Arabica and Honduras Organic Arabica, with just 20% blended Robustas for back palate satisfaction.
