Brazil Cerrado "Terra Roxa" Arabica

The World Wide Fund for Nature named the Cerrado the biologically richest savanna in the world. These varieties of Mundo Novo, Yellow Catuai, Red Catuai and Acaia have their rich flavor enhanced by the region’s Terra Roxa (Red Earth) soil.

Grown on multiple farms at altitudes of about 3000', these varieties are artfully combined to make an exceedingly rich, versatile coffee. This coffee was selected by a Top Chef to be the breakfast coffee in his Hyatt restaurant hotel. We love these beans in every roast we have tried, but we have settled on a two-temperature combination of Full City and City Roast together, and we label it Medium Roast because that is the dominate flavor profile.

8 ounces, please choose whole bean or ground.

Sorry, we are temporarily halting sales of this coffee because there is a lack of containers in Brazil and their new shipment is delayed. We hope to restore this inventory within a couple of weeks. :-(

The Araku Valley of India

India's coffee tradition goes back 400 years or more, when a variety called Kent was first established in the Southern Hills. Arabicas predominated until the blight of 1870, when growers needed to hybridize to resistant varieties. The resultant strains had genes from Liberica and other unique, resistant species.
