World Bus Tour 4 oz - Zambia High-Altitude Honey
Zambia is a land-locked country, and very little of its coffee crop is exported. Which is a shame because Zambia coffee has at times topped the cupping charts around the world. Overlooked by the world for coffee production until the 1950s, the country has tried to make up for lost time. There have been several initiatives from worldwide organizations - coffee oriented and finance oriented - to establish a gourmet coffee industry in the country. This had helped to make the coffee farmers of Zambia extraordinarily knowledgeable.
Zambia coffee seldom makes it through the difficult processes of export, so we don't often get a chance to enjoy it. We carried a Zambia Extended Fermentation lot earlier this year, and it quickly built a following online and at our take-out shop. This Honey from the same region is naturally dried in the sun after partial washing, leaving some of the sweet fruit pulp on. The extra sugar matures the beans and helps create a richer, broader taste profile.
