Saigon Blend "S" Home Brew
Our newest blend -- The Saigon "S" Home Brew!
We have not tried to make a taste-alike version of the Trung Nguyen S Blend because we know from our internal connections that the Trung Nguyen production facilities use a lot of techniques that are difficult for us to achieve with "Western" styles of roasters. Specifically, their S Blend is a high-volume-production blend that relies and some trade secrets like pre-soaking the coffee green beans before roasting. Pre-soaking restores lost humidity and results in the beans roasting at a lower internal temperature... parboiling, basically. This brings out a lot more of the flavor elements in the beans and a strong dark chocolate flavor.
Now that the S Blend is our top-selling import coffee, and considering the serious issues we are encountering to bring it in, plus major price increases from TN and shipping, we want to be able to offer a coffee that will "scratch the same itch" if not be identical. And especially with the S Blend, many people have asked us for a whole bean version but TN does not make one. So... we have set ourselves on the task of producing a coffee in this style that might make our customers happy in-between shipments, and if they want to put this coffee in auto-grinding machines that require whole bean. Now being served as our Iced Coffee at our take-out shop!
This blend is mostly blended Robustas, with Bourbon Arabica. About 180 mg caffeine per serving.
See what you think! Super-delicious, freshly roasted, and satisfying in its own right, we hope fans of the S Blend -- and any Vietnamese coffee lover -- might enjoy this new blend!
1 pound bag, choose whole bean or drip grind.
Allergy Alert: Please note that Vietnamese-style coffees may contain traces of chocolate, milk or soy.

Excellent, as always
Can’t get enough of this great coffee. So sad to see greedy shippers and others making it difficult for your business. I first met Vietnamese coffee in 1966 in Vietnam. My take is it is the best in the world.
